Ylihärmä Regional Museum
In Ylihärmä, a part of Kauhava city, there is a granary (grain warehouse) built in the 19th century, which now serves as a local history museum. The museum is located in Ilomäki near the center of Ylihärmä. Here you can find the shackles of another famous knife junker, Antti Rannanjärvi. Also on display are handicraft traditions, including knife making, shoemaking tools and basket making. For the little ones – or anyone who likes Mörri-Möyky (little harmless creature): They are hidden from time to time in the Ylihärmä Local History Museum. Will you come and look? How many can you find?
Tip: You can find out about the most famous knife junker, Isontalon Antti, from Alahärmä Regional Museum.
