Häjy Distilling Company Oy is a family business founded by Terhi and Keijo Mäkelä in 2020, born from a shared dream to produce alcoholic beverages that offer pure taste pleasure from genuine and high-quality raw materials.

• Experience and passion: Years of experience in the production of alcoholic beverages and extensive acquaintance with rural companies and distilleries operating in different parts of the world have created the foundation for Häjy’s operations. Terhi Mäkelä serves as CEO, and Keijo Mäkelä is responsible for the development of production and the renovation of traditional facilities.
• Roots in the countryside: The distillery is located in the midst of the nature of Southern Ostrobothnia, on the banks of a free-flowing river in an old dairy building. This place exudes the value and history of rural entrepreneurship, and Häjy breathes new life into it while respecting the past.
